The story behind my role in Jindra is also quite interesting. As I mentioned earlier my director’s son introduced me to the Punjabi film industry. I was chosen by my director for another film meant for the big screen and I had to play a side role in that film. It was then that COVID struck and the movie halls were closed. However, the Punjabi film producers have started adding more to their budgets and the directors are also trying to make films that become popular overnight. Of course there are the big budget films also, but the most interesting are the small budget Punjabi movies meant for OTT. The popularity of these movie channels has enabled the Punjabi film makers to make small but effective movies. My first film Jindra cannot exactly be called a low budget film, but it has had a major impact on the audience. I belong to a Sikh Punjabi family and have a family business which is running quite well with the grace of God. I had everything that a person can ask for in a lifestyle. The business was running well and now I even started making TikTok videos which satisfied my urge for acting.
